Phalacrocorax

... The family Cormorantidae is divided into two genera and 31 species. Most species belong to the genus Phalacrocorax , but two belong to the genus Anhinga . Some species have degenerated wings, such as the common cormorant P. harrisi , endemic to the Galapagos Islands, and the spectacled cormorant P. perspicillatus , found in the Commander Islands. These degenerated wings make them incapable of flight.
