...This constitution is called the Weimar Constitution, and Germany of that period is usually called the Weimar Republic. The Weimar Constitution was drafted by legal scholar Hugo Preuss (1860-1925) and is a legal code consisting of a preamble and 181 articles. The text is divided into two parts, the first of which is devoted to the structure and functions of the German state, and the second to the fundamental rights and obligations of Germans.
