primrose path

In England, primroses are used for funerals or to decorate coffins. They bloom in early spring and are associated with misfortune and transience, so their flower language is "youth" or "youth." The hedonistic life of youth is also metaphorically called the "primrose path." The Victorian politician Disraeli loved this flower, so the anniversary of his death on April 19th is called Primrose Day, and citizens wear the flower.
