A Kabuki actor. The family has been passed down to the 6th generation. [Hideo Furuido] First World(1744-1815) Born in Osaka. He went to Edo and became the apprentice of the first Onoe Kikugoro, making his debut under the name Onoe Matsusuke. His stage name was Shin Otowaya. After being selected by the kyogen writer Kanai Sansho as a young female actor, he switched to playing villainous roles. He played Iwafuji in "Kagamiyama," a role he played for a generation, and has continued to play that role to this day. Having learned the tricks of Takeda Shibai at a young age, he was able to use puppets for quick changes, and use unique techniques for wigs, makeup, and costumes that other actors could not imitate, earning him a firm place in the Edo theatrical world as a talented actor. In 1804 (Bunka 1), he acted as the head of a troupe for the first time in a summer play, "Tenjiku Tokubei Kokubanashi," which became a big hit, and in his later years he adopted the retirement name Shouroku and established summer play ghost story kyogen as his family art, eventually perfecting this technique in "Yotsuya Kaidan" by his adopted son, Onoe Kikugoro III. The second was the former name of the third Kikugoro, and the third was succeeded by the eldest son of the second, but he did not achieve success. [Hideo Furuido] IV(1843-1928). His real name was Kurihara Baigorō. He was a disciple of the 5th Kikugoro. He took his stage name in 1881 (Meiji 14). His stage name was Otowaya. He was a master of supporting roles, and among his many hit roles, his role as Komoriyasu in "Genjidana" was called a triptych along with Yosaburo played by the 15th Ichimura Uzaemon and Otomi played by the 6th Onoe Baiko.
