Slumpflation

...This word was created by combining stagnation, which means economic stagnation, with inflation. The same term is used for slumpflation. After the first oil crisis in the fall of 1973, the media used this term to refer to the American economy, which was suffering from the double whammy of recession and inflation, but it has now become established as a term in economics.
