Holocrine secretion

Japanese: holocrine secretion(英語表記)holocrinesecretion
Holocrine secretion

...However, the smooth endoplasmic reticulum is well developed in the paracellular tissue of the stomach, and it is speculated that this plays a major role in the formation of hydrochloric acid.
[Mechanism of secretion]
(1) Holocrine secretion: The secretion fills the cytoplasm, the nucleus shrinks, and finally the entire cell dies, becoming a secretion and being discharged. This is seen in sebaceous glands and tarsal glands. (2) Apocrine secretion: The secretion formed in the glandular cells gathers on the free surface of the cell and protrudes (these protrusions are called apocrine processes), and finally the base of the process becomes constricted and breaks off, falling into the glandular cavity.
