Foreign Military Sales Credits

(1) International Military Education and Training Program (IMET), which provides free education and training to military personnel of countries that the United States deems particularly in need; and (2) Foreign Military Sales Credits (FMS), which are loans given by the U.S. government to countries that wish to purchase military goods and related services such as weapons and related services on installment basis from U.S. companies, to cover part or all of the interest or to cover the cost.
