…He argued that within all human beings lies dormant the ability to attain higher knowledge through certain practices, and that by building on this knowledge, these problems can be explored with the same rigor as modern natural science. He presented this method in “How to Attain Knowledge of the Supersensible World” (1904-05), while in “Theosophy” (1904) and “Outline of Occult Science” (1909), he tried to give these problems an expression that would be acceptable to the modern standpoint of knowledge criticism. His influence extended to the fields of religion, art, education, medicine, agriculture, etc., but he is particularly well known for the Christian community movement, the new movement art of Eurythmie, the Free Waldorf School, analogical medicine, and organic farming. His influence can also be seen in individuals such as Schweitzer, Jung, Hesse, P. Klee, Carossa, and B. Walter. …
