Other members were John G. Bullock, William B. Dyer, Frank Eugene (1865-1936), Dallet Fuguet, Gertrude Käsebier, Joseph T. Keiley, Robert S. Redfield, Eva Watson-Schütze, E. Steichen, Edmund Stirling, John Francis Strauss, and Clarence H. White (1871-1925). They objected to those who sought the artistic qualities of photography by following in the footsteps of painting, and argued that photography can be art simply by being a photograph. …
