Electrobalance

...including electronic circuits built into the traditional mechanical scales that use weights or weights for balancing, there are various types of scales ranging from small precision scales for scientific use (electrobalances, analytical electronic balances, top-pan electronic balances, etc.) to commercial scales (storefront electronic pan scales, electronic toll scales, electronic counting scales, electronic platform scales, etc.) to large industrial scales (load cell-type conveyor scales, crane scales, truck scales, etc.), and their accuracy is about the same as that of mechanical scales (1/10 ⁵ to 1/10 ³ of the weighing capacity). Figure 1 shows an electrobalance (weighing capacity in grams, sensitivity of 10 μg) that uses weights and electromagnetic force to balance the scale. The pan is hung from the force point and the weight point of a beam fixed to a movable coil similar to an ammeter, and the mass of the object is calculated by adding or subtracting the weight and the current in the movable coil so that the beam is horizontal. There are also automatic types (automatic balances) that automatically balance the beam and display the measurement results digitally.
