Dysdercus

...They live in colonies on the ground or under stones. The species of the Dysdercus genus are red with small black circular patterns on their elytra, and are known as pests of cotton crops around the world. The smaller Dysdercus singulatus is common in the Ryukyu Islands and Taiwan. The Dysdercus family is characterized by a split in the seventh abdominal plate of the female along the midline, and there are about 100 species in the world and four in Japan.
