Dunlop Co. (English)

…In 2009, the company expanded into Japan. It then expanded into textiles, sporting goods, and household goods, and in 1967 changed its name to Dunlop Co. In 1971, in order to compete with American tire manufacturers, the company formed the Dunlop Pirelli Union with Italian tire manufacturer Pirelli SpA (established in 1872), which mutually held shares in the subsidiaries of its group. However, it was unable to achieve its initial objectives, and was dissolved in 1981. …
