Dayflower

...Blue paper dyed with the juice of flowers containing the blue pigment commelinin is used as a paint for the underpainting of Yuzen and tie-dyeing. Commelina (English name: dayflower) is a large genus containing about 200 species, many of which have differentiated into species in tropical and subtropical regions. There are four species in Japan.
