Consistori del Gai Saber (English)

...Occitan was, so to speak, a conquered language. In 1323, an attempt was made to revive the language with the founding of the Consistori del Gai Saber, which was granted the patent of Louis XIV and reorganized as the Académie des jeux Floraux, which still exists to this day.
