Casa del Fauno (English spelling)

The first style is a style of wall decoration that was widespread during the Hellenistic period, and examples of which can be found in the eastern Mediterranean, the Black Sea coast, Sicily, and other places. Typical examples have been excavated from places such as the Casa del Fauno in Pompeii. The second style imitates the decorative murals of Hellenistic palaces, and includes the murals of the Villa dei Misteri in Pompeii, the murals excavated at Boscoreale, and the Landscape of Odysseus.
