Born: May 3, 1931, Milan, Lombardy
Died: September 4, 1997. Architect from Milan, Lombardy, Italy. Studied under EN Rogers and Giuseppe Samona at the Polytechnic University of Milan, graduating in 1959. While teaching in the architectural planning courses at the University of Venice and the Polytechnic University of Milan, he was actively involved in the university protests at the end of the 1960s. In 1975 he became a professor at the Venice University of Architecture. In his main work, L'Architectura della Cita (1966), he constructed a world of architecture and cities using concepts such as analogy and memory, and his theories are directly linked to his works such as the apartment complex in the Gallaratese district (1969-1977). He also designed the Teatro World (1979) at the Venice Biennale and Hotel Il Palazzo in Fukuoka.

[Died] June 4, 1896, Pescara. Italian tragic actor. Played Hamlet, Othello, King Lear, etc., and also played opposite A. Ristori. Toured France, Germany, Russia, etc. His main work is a memoir about the creation of roles, Quarant'anni di vita artistica (40 years of acting career) (3 volumes, 1887-89).

[died] c. 1630. Mantua. Italian composer. He studied the violin and served at the court of Mantua from 1587 to 1628. He was a fine early Baroque composer of instrumental music, and published four volumes of sonatas for three to five voices (1607-22).
