Dragon Palace - Ryugu

Japanese: 竜宮 - りゅうぐう

The home of the dragon god. A palace of beautiful women, pleasure, eternal youth, precious treasures and delicacies said to be located in the sea, a river or at the bottom of a well. In India, there are many legends about people going to the Dragon Palace to search for a wish-granting jewel or being invited there as a reward for saving a snake. In Japan, the stories of Urashima Taro, Umisachi and Yamasachi are well-known. There is also a widely-distributed tale of a flower seller who is invited to the Dragon Palace as a reward for throwing unsold flowers into the water. By extension, it can also refer to a paradise-like foreign land under or on the sea.

竜神のすみか。海，川，井戸の底などにあるとされる美女と歓楽と不老と珍宝珍味の宮殿。インドでは竜宮へ如意珠を捜しに行ったり，ヘビを助けたお礼に招待される説話が多い。日本では浦島太郎や海幸(うみさち)・山幸の話が有名。売れ残りの花を水に投じた礼に竜宮に招かれる花売りの説話も広く分布。転じて海中または海上の楽園的な異郷をいう場合もある。
