The home of the dragon god. A palace of beautiful women, pleasure, eternal youth, precious treasures and delicacies said to be located in the sea, a river or at the bottom of a well. In India, there are many legends about people going to the Dragon Palace to search for a wish-granting jewel or being invited there as a reward for saving a snake. In Japan, the stories of Urashima Taro, Umisachi and Yamasachi are well-known. There is also a widely-distributed tale of a flower seller who is invited to the Dragon Palace as a reward for throwing unsold flowers into the water. By extension, it can also refer to a paradise-like foreign land under or on the sea. → Related Articles Eelgrass (Zostera marina) | Hidden Village Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |
