Yoshitomi [town] - Yoshitomi
A town in Chikujo County, on the eastern edge of Fukuoka Prefecture. It occupies a delta between the Yamakuni River and the Sai River, facing the Suo-Nada Sea. There are many rice paddies, and in addition to rice and wheat, vegetables are cultivated for the city of Kitakyushu. There is also coastal fishing and seaweed farming. There is a large pharmaceutical factory. Area: 5.72 km2 . Population: 6,792 (2010).
