A porous polyurethane that retains air bubbles inside. It retains the gas generated during the manufacturing process. It is generally very lightweight and has excellent heat and sound insulation properties. It comes in a variety of types, from hard to soft, and is widely used for cushioning materials such as mattresses and sheets, insulation materials for refrigerators and LNG tankers, other soundproofing materials, and packaging materials.
