This illustrated manuscript is thought to have been produced around 820-830 in Hautvillers, near Reims, France. It is one of the so-called "Rheims" manuscripts, and is currently housed at the Utrecht University Library. In addition to the Psalms from the Old Testament, it contains the Canticum (songs other than the Psalms in the Bible), the Apostles' Creed, and more. The abundant illustrations are quill pen drawings that faithfully illustrate the text word for word. Its depictions of ancient-style naturalistic landscapes and dynamic figures, full of tension and speed, make it one of the masterpieces of Carolingian art.

フランスのランス近郊オービレールHautvillersで，820‐830年ころ制作されたと推定される挿絵入り写本。いわゆる〈ランス派〉写本の一つ。現在ユトレヒト大学図書館に所蔵。旧約聖書の《詩篇》のほか，カンティクムCanticum(聖書中，《詩篇》以外に載せられた歌)，使徒信条などを含む。豊富な挿絵は羽根ペンによる素描で，テキストを逐一，忠実に図解している。古代風の自然主義的風景や，躍動する人物像などの緊張とスピード感に満ちた描写は，カロリング朝美術の傑作に数えられる。
