A haiku poet from the late Muromachi period to the early Edo period. Born in Yamada, Ise Province (Mie Prefecture). His real surname was Sugiki. Mouichi. He was completely blind, but became a central leader in the Ise haiku world after Moritake. His haiku style is similar to that of "Inu Tsukuba" and "Moryu Senku." His works include "Nozomi Ichi Senku" and "Nozomi Goto Senku. 室町後期から江戸初期の俳人。伊勢国(三重県)山田の人。本姓は杉木。もういち。全盲の身で守武以後の伊勢俳壇の中心的指導者となった。俳風は「犬筑波」「守武千句」同様に古体を有する。著「望一千句」「望一後千句」など。天正一四~寛永二〇年(一五八六‐一六四三)
