Plain pottery - Mumondoki

Japanese:
Plain pottery - Mumondoki

Pottery from the Bronze Age to the early Iron Age in Korea. Most are undecorated reddish brown, and include jars, pots, high-rise vessels, and steamers. Crimson-painted and black-polished pottery are also found. There are regional differences, with pottery from Gonggui-ri to Misong-ri to Ronan-ri in the northwest, and in the south, the rim changes from thickly incised and perforated to clay-string-attached. In the west, there is top-shaped pottery. This was already an agricultural society, and carbonized rice has been discovered. It is deeply related to the establishment of the Yayoi culture in Japan, and clay-string-attached rim pottery has been excavated along with Yayoi pottery in northern Kyushu and Yamaguchi.
