A city in northwestern Chiba Prefecture. It was incorporated as a city in 1996 from Inzai Town. It spans the lowlands on the south bank of the Tone River and the Shimousa Plateau. In March 2010, the villages of Inba and Motono in Inba County were incorporated. The city suffered damage in the Great East Japan Earthquake. 123.79 km2 . 88,176 people (2010).
