Miyake [town] - Miyake
A town in Shiki County, Nara Prefecture. It occupies almost the center of the Nara Basin, with the Asuka River and Soga River flowing through the town. In addition to rice, vegetables and fruit are cultivated. Leather processing is thriving, and shell buttons are also produced. The Kintetsu Kashihara Line and Tawaramoto Line run through the town. 4.06 km2 . 7,440 people (2005).
