A writer active in Carthage from around 365 to 440. He wrote On the Marriage of Philologia and Mercurius, a book that was widely read in the Latin world in the early Middle Ages. In this allegorical book, the bride's maids explain the Heptagonia. These Heptagonia became the core of medieval scholarship due to the influence of this book and later, Cassiodorus, who made them the basis of monastic education.
