Honihonjou - true intention

Japanese:
Honihonjou - true intention
It is also called "hoihonjo." In addition to its meaning of original will or true intention, "honi" is also used as a literary term to mean the inherent qualities of something, the way something is appropriate to something, or the way it should be, such as "spring rain falls thinly and quietly." In haiku, it is also called "honjo (nature)." The theory of honi in waka and renga began as a warning not to ignore the essence of things and events and to avoid becoming immersed in artificiality. However, as time passed, this idea gave rise to an attitude of blindly believing the outstanding works of predecessors as the norm, and it began to have the harmful effect of stereotyping and fixing ways of looking at things.
