Boswellia

Japanese: ボスウェリア(英語表記)Boswellia
Boswellia
It is a tree of the genus Boswellia in the family Burseraceae, and there are about 25 species, many of which are found in the dry regions of tropical Africa, and several species distributed from West Asia to India. Some species produce an aromatic resin on their trunks, which is called frankincense (olibanum), and along with myrrh, a resin from the genus Commiphora in the same family, it has long been used as incense in religious ceremonies and is mentioned in the Bible. B. carteri Birdw., found in Somaliland in the southern part of the Arabian Peninsula, is a representative species, a small tree several meters tall with pinnate compound leaves.
