Lancastrian king of England (reigned 1413-1422). Eldest son of Henry IV. He suppressed the Lollard movement and maintained peace in the country. He resumed the Hundred Years' War and won the Battle of Agincourt in 1415, and obtained the right to inherit the French throne under the Treaty of Troyes, but died in battle outside Paris.
