Burgundy Dynasty - Bourgogne

A medieval royal dynasty of Castile and Portugal in the Iberian Peninsula. The name of the dynasty comes from the cousins of Raimundo (Lemon) and Henry (Henri), who were from the French dukes of Burgundy. At the end of the 11th century, the two participated in the Reconquista of the Iberian Peninsula, and married Urraca and Teresa, daughters of King Alfonso VI of Castile, respectively. Shortly after this, in 1108, Crown Prince Sancho was killed in battle, and the following year King Alfonso died as well, ending the male royal line, and Urraca succeeded to the throne.

中世イベリア半島のカスティリャとポルトガル2国の王朝。王朝名はフランスのブルゴーニュ公家出身のライムンド(レモン)とエンリケ(アンリ)のいとこに由来する。11世紀末，2人はイベリア半島のレコンキスタ(国土回復戦争)に参加，カスティリャ王アルフォンソ6世の娘ウラカおよびテレサの2人とそれぞれ結婚した。この後まもなくカスティリャでは1108年にサンチョ皇太子が戦死，翌年にはアルフォンソ王も死んで王家の男系が絶え，ウラカが王位を継いだ。
