Brahmi script

Japanese:
Brahmi script

Ancient Indian script. The Ashoka Inscription is inscribed in this script. From the 4th to 6th centuries, India split into two groups, the northern Brahmi script gave rise to the Siddha-mātkā script, which gave rise to modern Indian scripts such as the Nagari script. The southern Brahmi script gave rise to the Pallava script, which was then used to transcribe Sanskrit texts (Grantha), and so on, which led to the current scripts used to write Dravidian languages. The northern Brahmi script moved further north, and the Tibetan script and other scripts, as well as the southern Brahmi script, crossed the sea to stimulate the creation of scripts in Southeast Asia.
