An outlaw from the American West who is said to have killed 21 men in his 21-year life. His real name was William H. Bonney. He was born in New York, but moved to Kansas with his parents when he was young, and lived in New Mexico after his father's death. He is said to have started on the path of evil when, between the ages of 13 and 15, he killed a man who had tried to humiliate his mother. He eventually became a cowboy, and in 1878, he gained fame for his bravery in leading a losing team in a ranch battle known as the Lincoln County War.

21年の生涯に21人の男を殺したといわれるアメリカ西部の無法者。本名ウィリアム･ボニーWilliam H.Bonney。ニューヨークで生まれたが，幼時，両親とともにカンザスに移り，父の死後，ニューメキシコに住んだ。13歳から15歳のころ，母をはずかしめようとした男を殺したのが，悪の道に入ったきっかけということになっている。やがてカウボーイになったが，1878年，〈リンカン郡戦争〉と呼ばれる牧場争いで，劣勢の味方を率いてすさまじい戦いぶりを示し，勇名をとどろかせた。
