Standard relative luminous efficiency

Also known as the standard luminous efficiency. Since luminous efficiency varies depending on the wavelength of light and also varies from person to person, the average luminous efficiency is calculated from the results of luminous tests for each wavelength conducted on many observers with normal vision, and this is used as the standard luminous efficiency. Standard luminous efficiency has a maximum value of 680 lm/W at 555 nm, which is almost in the center of the visible wavelength range, and decreases as you approach either end. The ratio of standard luminous efficiency divided by this maximum value is the standard luminous efficiency, and values in 10 nm intervals have been set by the International Commission on Illumination (CIE) and are internationally agreed upon. The luminous intensity of a light source and the brightness of light are determined using the standard luminous efficiency.
