A theater magazine. First published in October 1928. Kishida Kunio was the editor-in-chief, with Sakanaka Masao and Nakamura Masayoshi as assistants. It became a forum for promoting Kishida's theater movement, but ceased publication with the 10th issue in July 1929. The second issue was launched in November 1947. Published by Hayakawa Publishing. Endo Shingo, Nishizawa Yotaro, Yagi Ryuichiro, and Hayakawa Kiyoshi were among the editors, and the aim was to contribute theoretically to the "establishment of true modern drama." After a year and a half of suspension, it was relaunched with the January 1966 issue. Supervised by Iwata Toyoo, and edited by Ozaki Koji, Toita Koji, and Hayakawa Kiyoshi, it strived to introduce original plays and foreign dramas, and switched to a feature format from the January 1971 issue. 演劇雑誌。 1928年 10月創刊。岸田国士が編集責任者,阪中正夫,中村正常が助手をつとめ,岸田の演劇運動を推進する場となったが,29年7月の第 10号で廃刊。第2次は 47年 11月創刊。早川書房発行。遠藤慎吾,西沢揚太郎,八木隆一郎,早川清らが編集同人で,「真の現代劇の樹立」に理論面から寄与することを目的とした。1年半の休刊ののち,66年1月号から復刊。岩田豊雄が監修,尾崎宏次,戸板康二,早川清が編集にあたり,創作劇,外国戯曲の紹介に努め,71年1月号から特集形式になった。
