Crimes of Counter-Revolution
The crime of counter-revolution was defined by the Soviet government after the October Revolution in its 1927 Code on State Offenses as any act aimed at overthrowing, destroying or weakening the power of the Workers' and Peasants' Soviets and their government, or at destroying or weakening their external security and the economic, political and national achievements of the revolution. Specifically, the crimes included treason against the motherland, armed rebellion, collusion with foreign nations, espionage, sabotage, terrorism, counter-revolutionary incitement, membership in counter-revolutionary organizations, and counter-revolutionary sabotage.
