Most of it is in Novosibirsk Oblast, and some parts extend into Omsk Oblast and others. It covers an area of approximately 117,000 km2, with the highest point at an elevation of 150m. Most of it is plain with an elevation of just under 90-150m, but there are numerous cueta-like elevations running parallel from northeast to southwest, and rivers flow parallel from northeast to southwest along the lowlands between them. There are also over 2,000 lakes of various sizes, some of which are salt lakes. Source: Heibonsha World Encyclopedia, 2nd Edition Information |
