This explains the miraculous powers of Hachiman Daibosatsu so that even a foolish child can understand. There are two versions with the same name but different contents. (1) 2 volumes. It explains the divine power displayed by Iwashimizu Hachiman and its branch shrine, Hakozaki Hachiman, during the Mongol invasion. The author is thought to have been a shrine official at Iwashimizu Hachiman Shrine, and it is estimated to have been written not long after the Mongol invasion. It is virtually the only historical material related to the invasion of Tsushima and Iki during the Bun'ei War. Included in Gunsho Ruiju. (2) 2 volumes. It describes the boundless and vast power of Hachiman in 14 sections, including manifestations, myogo, and honji. The author is believed to have been a shrine official at Iwashimizu Hachimangu Shrine, and the work is believed to have been completed at the end of the Kamakura period.

八幡大菩薩(ぼさつ)の霊験を愚童にもわかるようにと説き示したもの。同名にして内容の異なる2種がある。(1)2巻。蒙古(もうこ)襲来に際し、石清水八幡(いわしみずはちまん)とその別宮筥崎八幡(はこざきはちまん)が示した神威発揚について説いたもの。作者は石清水八幡宮の祠官(しかん)と考えられ、成立時期は蒙古襲来からほど遠くない時期と推定される。文永(ぶんえい)の役の対馬(つしま)・壱岐(いき)入寇(にゅうこう)に関する史料としてはほとんど唯一のものである。『群書類従』所収。(2)2巻。垂迹(すいじゃく)、名号、本地など14項目にわたり、八幡神の威徳の広大無辺なことを述べたもの。作者は石清水八幡宮の祠官、成立時期は鎌倉末期とそれぞれ推定される。『続群書類従』所収。
