Hakusan Yabu Kofun

Japanese: 白山藪古墳 - はくさんやぶこふん

This ancient tomb is located in Ajima, Kita-ku, Nagoya. Because it has been destroyed, it is said to be either a keyhole-shaped tomb or a circular tomb, and it is unclear. The main part is a clay coffin, but the front and back are sealed with bricks. On the north side along the coffin, a small chamber was created by lining up bricks, where swords, swords and other weapons were stored. Inside the coffin were a mirror (a triangular-rimmed mirror with divine beasts), as well as numerous magatama and tubular beads. The use of bricks is an extremely unusual technique for Japanese ancient tombs.

名古屋市北区味鋺 (あじま) にある古墳。破壊されてしまったため，前方後円墳とも円墳ともいわれ，はっきりしない。主体部は粘土槨であるが，前後を塼 (せん) でふさいである。北側に槨に沿って，塼を並べて小室を造り，そこに刀，剣などの武具を収納してあった。棺内に鏡 (三角縁神獣鏡) のほか，勾玉，管玉などが多数あった。塼を用いているのは，日本の古墳としてはきわめて特殊な手法である。
