This is the basic legal code for the Sengoku period feudal lord Imagawa's control of his territory. It refers to the 33 articles enacted by Ujichika in 1526 (Taiei 6) and the additional 21 articles enacted by his son Yoshimoto in 1553 (Tenbun 22). The former stipulates the relationship between the jito (lord) and the hon/shinmyōshū (peasants), border disputes, the control of quarrels and thieves, restrictions on land sales, interest rates on rice loans, and the prohibition of religious debates and private marriages. The latter stipulates the vassal relationships, the right of non-entry, inheritance, and court procedures, but it is noteworthy that the articles emphasize and clarify that this law was enacted and put into effect by the Imagawa's own power, not backed by the power of the Muromachi shogunate. This code also influenced the Takeda's Koshu Laws. The copies that have been handed down are the Imagawaki version and the Kurokawa version. The Kurokawa edition includes 13 articles on lawsuits that were established by Yoshimoto. They are included in "Zoku Gunsho Ruiju" and "Medieval Legal Documents Collection" (Vol. 3).
