A river in western Russia. It originates from Lake Ladoga and flows into the Gulf of Finland in the Baltic Sea. It is 64 km long. St. Petersburg is located on the delta at its mouth. It is part of the White Sea-Baltic Canal. It is also known for frequent floods.
