〘Noun〙 An eight-line verse from the Sūtra of Pratyaprabhadra that praises the Tathagata's excellent physical form. There are variations among various sects, but it is generally used in Buddhist chants . ※Taiheiki (late 14th century) verse 11 "On the day of the memorial service in the central hall of Enryakuji Temple, the Tathagata chants were recited in a gentle manner ." 〘名〙 如来の勝れた色身をたたえた勝鬘経の八句の偈(げ)をいう。諸宗により異同があるが、総じて梵唄(ぼんばい)に用いる。※太平記（１４Ｃ後）一一「延暦寺の中堂供養の日は、〈略〉風(ほのか)に如来唄(ニョライハイ)を引給しかば」
