Nakayamadaira [Hot Spring] - Nakayamadaira

Japanese: 中山平[温泉] - なかやまだいら

This hot spring is located in Naruko-cho, Tamatsukuri-gun, Miyagi Prefecture, at the southern foot of Mt. Hanabuchi (985m), close to the border with Yamagata Prefecture. It is located at the very back of the Naruko Onsen Village, and the source is distributed on a river terrace formed on a vast plateau of lake deposits. The spring is a simple hydrogen sulfide spring, with a high temperature of 68-100°C, and greenhouse cultivation is carried out nearby using the geothermal energy. It is close to Nakayamadaira Station on the JR Rikuu East Line, and the surrounding area is also famous for its autumn leaves. [Sakakibara Takashi]

宮城県玉造郡鳴子町，山形県境に近い花淵山(985m)の南麓にある温泉。鳴子温泉郷の最も奥にあたり，源泉は広大な湖成層の台地に形成された河岸段丘上に分散する。泉質は単純硫化水素泉，泉温は68～100℃と高く，付近では地熱を利用して温室栽培が行われている。JR陸羽東線中山平駅に近く，周辺は紅葉の名所でもある。【榊原貴士】
