A sect that was established in Syria in the 11th century, splitting off from the Ismaili sect of Shiite Islam. It deifies the Fatimid caliph Hakim. It has about 900,000 followers in southern Lebanon and neighboring Syria and parts of Israel. It speaks Arabic. Its teachings are esoteric, and it is often viewed as heretical by neighboring Muslims.

イスラム教シーア派の分派イスマーイール派から分かれて11世紀にシリアで成立した宗派。ファーティマ朝カリフのハーキムを神格化する。レバノン南部とそれに隣接するシリア，イスラエルの一部に約90万人の信徒がいる。アラビア語を使用。その教儀は秘儀的性格をもち，周辺イスラム教徒からは異端視されることが多い。
