Head of the Tomimoto-bushi school. The founder did not take the name Buzendayu, but his son took the name Buzendayu II. Also, up until the seventh generation, they were called Buzendayu or Buzennojo, and thereafter simply Buzen, so here we will lump them together. (1) First Generation (1716-64 (Kyoho 1-Meiwa 1)) The founder of Tomimoto-bushi. His real name was Fukuda Danji. He was a pupil of Miyakoji Bungonojo and the first Meihindayu. After working as Miyakoji Komonjidayu, Kanto Komonjidayu, and Tokiwazu Komonjidayu, he became independent in 1748 (Kan'en 1) under the name Tomimoto Toyoshidayu, and established Tomimoto-bushi. 富本節の家元。始祖は豊前太夫を名のらなかったが,その子が2世豊前太夫と称した。また7世までは豊前太夫または豊前掾,以降は単に豊前と称したので,ここではそれらを一括した。(1)初世(1716‐64∥享保1‐明和1) 富本節の始祖。本名福田弾司。宮古路豊後掾の門人で初名品太夫。宮古路小文字太夫,関東小文字太夫,常磐津小文字太夫を経て,1748年(寛延1)に富本豊志太夫と名のって独立,富本節を樹立。翌49年豊前掾藤原敬親(たかつぐ)。
