〘 noun 〙 (formerly also called "tokusho")① To read a book. ※Shoreishu-5 (c. 835) In this passage, Tachibana student sent to his home country to enlighten him, " I cannot read a single book without studying . " [Koji-Tamamo]② Since the Heian period, Chinese classics have been read outside the bath for seven days after the birth of a prince or nobleman's son during the birth bath ceremony. Doctors of Myokyo and Kiden take turns reading aloud auspicious passages from the "Book of Filial Piety," "Records of the Grand Historian," "Book of Rites," etc. A reading ceremony. ※Nishinomiya-ki (c. 969) 11 "On the 20th day of the seventh month of the first year of Encho, the Empress gave birth to two boys. Two bathing implements were made by the Takumi- ryo . For seven days, the doctors of Myokyo and Kiden read together."③ = A doctor of reading ※Gyokuyo-Nov 9, 1167 "Today, the bathing hall has begun. <omitted> After the bath, the patient retired."
