Ichiryusai Bunsha - Ichiryusai Bunsha
A lecturer in the late Edo period. His birth and death years and real name are unknown. He was also known as "Tofuya Bunsha" (Tofu shop owner) because he ran a tofu shop. He got this name because he was independent and had no teacher, and he rode the trend of popular domestic dramas, gaining popularity with his haccho arashii (Haccho Arashi). The second (1832?-1881) was known as "Kinchakukiri Bunsha" (Kinchaku-kiri Bunsha) because of his skill on the stage, and was skilled in plays such as "Yabuhara Kengyo" and "Kakegawa Mujyuku no Genta," and was also famous for his vast knowledge. The third (1847?-1917) was real name Kasuga Iwakichi. He excelled at "Journey to the West" and was known for his lively performances.

幕末の講釈師。生没年,本名不詳。豆腐屋を営んでいたことから〈豆腐屋文車〉とも呼ばれた。師匠がなく一本立ちしたことからこの名があり,世話物が好まれだした時流にのり,八丁荒しの人気を得た。2代目(1832?‐81)は,高座の小手がきいたことから〈巾着切文車〉と呼ばれ《藪原検校》や《掛川無宿の源太》などに長じ,博識ぶりでも有名。3代目(1847?‐1917)は本名春日岩吉。《西遊記》を得意にし,にぎやかな高座で知られた。
