This is when the left and right lines or risers of a paraglider get twisted. When a paraglider goes into a spin after a collapse or other event, and the spin rotation is rapid, this phenomenon occurs when the canopy rotates first. If the chest belt is too tight, the left and right carabiners get too close to each other, which makes this more likely to happen, but the best way to deal with this is to not go into a spin. If you do end up twisting, don't panic. Even if you do start to twist, the right brake is right and the left brake is left, and once the aircraft starts to glide, you can still control it, although the tension is heavy. First, it is important to head towards a safe area and wait calmly until the twist goes away. If the risers are twisted, grab the top of them with both hands and open them outward to make it easier to reverse the twist.

パラグライダーの左右のラインやライザーが捻れてしまうこと。コラップスなどからスピンに入り、そのスピンの回転が急激な場合、キャノピーの回転が先行し起る現象。チェストベルトを締め過ぎると左右のカラビナが接近して起こり易くなるが、最良の対策はスピンに入れない事である。不幸にしてツイストした場合はまず、あわてないこと。ツイストに入っても、右のブレークは右、左のブレークは左であり、機体が滑空を始めれば、テンションは重いものの操作は可能である。まず、安全な空域に進路を向け、落ち着いてツイストが戻るまで待つ事が大切である。ライザーがツイストしている場合は、その上を両手で掴み、外側に開けばツイストが戻り易くなる。
