A mountain located on a plain about 10 km southeast of Nazareth, Israel. It is 588 m above sea level. According to the Old Testament, around 1200 B.C., the tribes of Israel led by the judge Deborah set up camp on this mountain and fought a battle against the Canaanite army's chariots, winning the victory (Judges 4, 5). In addition, in an old Christian tradition, this mountain is said to be the site of the so-called "Transfiguration of Christ," in which Jesus suddenly changed his appearance in front of his disciples Peter, James, and James' brother John, and spoke to Moses and Elijah (Matthew 17, Mark 9, Luke 9).
