A city in central Aichi Prefecture. It was incorporated as a city in 1970. It occupies a corner of Kinuura Port on the eastern shore at the innermost end of Chita Bay. The ceramic industry, which produces Sanshu tiles and ceramic pipes, has been thriving here since ancient times, and it is part of the Kinuura Industrial District. In recent years, the transportation equipment industry has developed significantly. Poultry farming is thriving in Yoshihama, and it is also famous for Yoshihama craft dolls (a type of chrysanthemum doll). The Meitetsu Mikawa Line runs through the city, and many people commute to Nagoya City. 13.11 km2 . Population: 44,027 (2010).

愛知県中部の市。1970年市制。知多湾最奥東岸,衣浦(きぬうら)港の一角を占める。古くから三州瓦,陶管など窯業が盛んで,衣浦工業地域の一部をなし,近年は輸送用機器工業が大きく発展している。吉浜は養鶏が盛んで,吉浜細工人形(菊人形の一種)でも有名。名鉄三河線が通じ,名古屋市への通勤者が多い。13.11km2。4万4027人(2010)。
