A town in Takaichi District, central Nara Prefecture. It is located in the southernmost part of the Nara Basin, and the southern part is mountainous, including Mt. Takatori. Tosa, at the center, is the castle town of Takatori Castle. Since the Meiji period, it has been a center of medicine sales in Yamato, along with Gose City. It is on the Kintetsu Yoshino Line, and Tsubosaka Temple is located at the western foot of Mt. Takatori. 25.79 km2 . 7,657 people (2010). Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |

奈良県中部，高市郡の町。奈良盆地の最南部にあり，南部は高取山などの山地。中心の土佐は高取城の城下町。明治以後，御所(ごせ)市とともに大和売薬の中心地。近鉄吉野線が通じ，高取山西麓には壺阪(つぼさか)寺がある。25.79km2。7657人（2010）。
