A town in Takaichi District, central Nara Prefecture. It is located in the southernmost part of the Nara Basin, and the southern part is mountainous, including Mt. Takatori. Tosa, at the center, is the castle town of Takatori Castle. Since the Meiji period, it has been a center of medicine sales in Yamato, along with Gose City.
