A town in Kamikawa County, located in central Hokkaido, to the north of Asahikawa City. With irrigation ditches drawing water from the Ishikari River, the town is home to large rice paddies and produces agricultural products such as tomato juice and sunflower oil. To the south lies Mt. Chikabumi, which offers a great view. The town is also home to the Asahikawa Takasu Interchange on the Do-o Expressway. Area: 139.42 km2 . Population: 7,345 (2010).
